Please take a few moments to
read the following information and then if you are interested,
email floodplane@floodplane.net
and let us know what city you would like to help in.
We sincerely appreciate all efforts to
spread the word about our new album and any future shows
that we have.
What is a street team contact responsible
for?
— Making sure that promotional material, like posters
advertising new releases and/or tours, is supplied to/displayed
in numerous shops within your area (record stores, coffee
shops, skate shops, etc). We trust that you know where
the best places are in your area but we ask that you be
considerate where you leave your work. You can always
email friends, post on the web, and call local radio stations
with Floodplane show information.
— Making sure other promotional materials such as
stickers, fliers, etc. are placed or passed out at appropriate
shows and venues.
— Making sure that the material we send you displays
accurate info re: dates and venues. Most of the time,
a sample poster will be provided in the package you receive,
but before you write on the others, please check the Floodplane
website in case some dates change.
— Keeping in touch to inform us of your activities
and also of changes in your contact information so we
don't get packages returned due to a change of address.
— Checking your email! This is the way we contact
you to help us out.
How do you prove that you've distributed
the material?
Take a photo of each place you visit along with the current
day's newspaper. Just kidding. Just email floodplane@floodplane.net
with a brief description of where you dumped your load
so we know not to dump in the same place twice.
How often are you expected to help
us out?
For now that's up to you. Until we budget more into providing
everyone with street team packages, we can only ask that
you download the poster and print them yourselves, or
post on message boards and email your friends.
What are the benefits to being
a Street Team contact?
Contacts will sometimes be allowed free admission to Floodplane
shows in their area. Note that there will be guest list
restrictions from time to time. If you are interested
in attending a GSL show, email floodplane@floodplane.net
with your full name and show date/location. We prefer
that you request a guestlist spot at the same time you
respond to the emails we send you asking for help. IF
YOU ARE NOT 21, please check to make sure there are no
age restrictions for the show you want to go to.
Feel free to email the band at floodplane@floodplane.net
with street team inquiries, clarifications, etc. PLEASE:
no inquiries about goats, aeronautics, or any of our superfluous
nipples.
Thanks!
